Walk In Pink 5.0 was the milestone edition. On Saturday, 24 October 2026, walkers gathered at DTI Campus, East Legon, to mark five consecutive years of a movement that began with 200 people screened in Teshie in 2022.
For the first time, participants wore one of the Five Shades, each representing a different place in the breast-cancer journey. The Hopeful, the Future, the Remembered, the Warrior, and the Fearless.
The day brought together the 5km walk, free breast cancer screenings by The Trust Hospital, free oral health checks, high-energy aerobics and live entertainment, survivor testimonies, and a memorial balloon release for those we have lost. It closed a month of build-up through the Pink Wave campaign.
