How Walk In Pink began.
Jay Train Foundation is a Ghanaian non-profit dedicated to community health empowerment and education. Our story began in October 2022 with a single 8km health walk through Teshie, Accra, and one stubborn conviction, that no woman should die of breast cancer simply because screening was out of reach.
That first walk drew hundreds of residents into the streets in white shirts, and more than 200 women were screened that day, many for the very first time. What started as one community's response to a quiet crisis became a movement.
Since then, Walk In Pink has travelled from Teshie to Sakumono, to Aglorkpovia in the Volta Region, and to Nungua, where more than 1,000 people were screened in a single day. Across four editions and four communities we have reached over 2,200 people with free screening, and grown into a credible, nationally recognised community health movement. We do not wait for women to come to us. We go to their communities, to the markets, schools, churches, and neighbourhoods across Ghana.
Health is not a privilege. It is a right.

Built on a belief in movement.
Jay Train Foundation was founded by Jude Gadzekpo, known to everyone as "Jay Train", the nickname that gave the foundation its name. An ex-bodybuilder, personal trainer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, he has spent his working life helping people get stronger.
Years on the gym floor taught him something the research keeps confirming. How we live shapes the diseases we get. Regular physical activity, a healthy weight, and everyday lifestyle choices all influence a person's risk of cancer, including breast cancer. Movement is not a cure, but it is one of the few risk factors completely in our hands.
That belief explains why the foundation's answer to breast cancer looks the way it does. Not a gala. A walk. Walking is free, needs no equipment, and welcomes everyone, from schoolchildren to grandmothers, onto the same road. Every Walk In Pink puts a whole community in motion for kilometres, then ends where it matters most, at the screening tent and the health talk. The activity is the message. Move your body, know your body, and act early.
See the movement for yourself.
